Reading 08 - Doing

Hey!

For this reading task, we had to write an introduction and a conclusion for our literature review. This task was fairly straightforward and easy enough.

We had to first watch YouTube tutorials on how to compose an introduction and conclusion. The task became much clearer after watching the videos.

I simply just used the tips they provided such as:

For the introduction:

• Why are you writing it?
• Don't write a summary - don’t write “my essay is about…”
• Make a connection
• Add a quote
• Include dialogue
• Sell it
• Add an attention grabber
• Make a strong opinion
• State a fact
• State a statistic

For the conclusion:

• Summarise and restate the thematic paragraph statements.
• Give final thoughts and opinions about the topic.
• Close the essay with a challenge to the reader.
• Don't write "In conclusion"

Finally, this week's reading task was easier than I expected; I kind of got stuck on what to write for the conclusion, but I got there in the end. I'm relieved that the Unity tutorials are now complete, as I can now concentrate solely on the reading tasks. That's all I have to say, for now, thank you for reading!
