Hey! My name is Khang Pham, I'm 19 years old. I was born and raised in Ireland, but my parents are from Vietnam. They immigrated over to Dublin, Ireland due to the impact of the Vietnam War. Prototype

Hey! This week I got to start my game prototype. However, before I started prototyping, I re-examined my GDD (Game Design Document) and wasn’t really satisfied as I thought that my game idea was just a typical endless runner game, it was a bit tedious and had no real excitement therefore I decided to combine my platformer game idea (the one from week 3) with my endless runner game idea. This asset contains many components such as characters, enemies and packages. I decided to add moving platforms that elevate up, down and diagonal. The player has to be careful when moving from one platform to the next. The speed of the platforms vary the further you go on. Each platform is very narrow therefore making it more difficult. It has no walls to protect you so if you fall you “die” immediately. The game is much more challenging this way. I’

Game Design Document

Game Vector - XHTMLJunction Hey! For this week, I had to create a Game Design Document using DunDoc.com The new website was difficult for my head to wrap around, but once I figured out the basics it wasn’t so bad anymore. The template provided was definitely very helpful for me. However, the template had a lot of headings and sub-headings that I didn’t understand so I kind of got confused, but I think they were for more advanced games. I filled in the basic information my game idea consists of such as the “Story”, “Mechanics” and “How to Play” etc. I feel like my previous project task was super helpful for this design document as it consisted of similar topics and headings. I will be developing this document in the coming weeks, so this isn't this final document.
