Hi today I will be talking about technology tools. Getting familiar with technology tools is very useful especially if you are planning to go down the creative field after you graduate. Tools like “Mac Preview”, “Canvas” and “Cheezburger” allow you to enhance your creativity a bit more and also bookmark tools like “Diigo” helps you organises your workspace and gather ideas more easily. Although I have never heard of these tools before, I will definitely seek into them as they look very useful for the near future.
I am familiar with blogging as we all had blogs last semester. I’ve experimented with Wordpress before but I didn’t really look into it in detail. The Class Website is made by Wordpress and from what I can see so far, it’s pretty decent. I am also familiar with Google Docs. I believe that sharing information through Google Docs is a very effective and easily accessible. I’ve used Pinterest in the passed for drawing references and poster design references so I am familiar with this tool. Pinterest, in my opinion, is the best place for gathering and collecting visual ideas.
The tool I’m most eager to use is Unity3D. This tool was introduced this year for Multimedia Development 1. The tool lets you create your own individual games. I am anxious about this new tool as it’s all new to me but I couldn’t be more excited at the same time. I’m ready for the challenge.
All in all, these new tools might seem difficult to comprehend at first, but I believe that if I just take my time with them then it shouldn’t be a bother. I hope by learning these new tools it further escalates the quality of work I produce.
